answer
作为不及物动词是一样的 : He answered/replied.
作为及物动词就不一样了 : answer sth/reply to sth.
answer the letter : 回信
I will reply to the letter.回信
reply “I’m coming,” he replied with a smile. 他微笑着答道：“我就来。”
He waved me a greeting and I smiled in reply. 他挥手向我打招呼，我朝他笑了笑算是回应。
I applied for that post but got no reply. 我对那个职位提出了申请，但是没得到回复。

native language : 母语mother tongue : 母语(口语)
The native language is Chine. My mother tongue is Chine.

【课文讲解】
1.搭便车 : take a lift给某人搭便车 : give sb a lift路程, 旅行 : journey经历 : experience.
一般有意思, interesting、funny, amusing倾向于让某人笑出声
I had an amusing experience last year.
简单句当中一个谓语, 有从句有主句, 从句一个谓语动词, 主句一个谓语动词
after : 在什么什么之后, 主句的动作发生在从句之后, 从句的动作发生在主句的前面, 从句的动作发生在前, 主句的动作发生在后
如果两个都是过去时, 同时发生, 会用进行时态; 如果一先一后, 发生在前的动作为过去完成时(had done)
after后面的从句一个变成过去时, 一个变成过去完成时, 一定是从句用过去完成时.
before : 在什么什么之前, 主句发生在从句之前, 主句用过去完成时.

表达方位的表达方式一共有3个介词, in,on,to
没有相接的, 是相离的, to接壤, on

3.drive to : 开车去某地, drive on (on:继续), on加在动词的后面表示继续
on 作为副词，表示“继续……”，和动词连用
eg: The whole group worked on and on all night. 全队的人不停地一通宵。
Eg:My heart will go on 《我心永恒》
