（一）26个字母发音
元音字母：
A a E e Ii O o U u
五个元音字母(a, e, i, o, u), 每个发两种音：长音（其字母音）和短音
辅音字母：
Bb Cc Dd Ff Gg Hh Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Pp Qq Rr Ss Tt Vv Ww Xx Yy Zz
老友记第三季y不在单词开头时，一般被看做元音。
单音节词, y在末尾, y发”I”的音: my, why, fly, sky
多音节词, y在末尾, y发”E” 的音: daddy, mommy, baby
（二）元音字母在闭音节和开音节中的发音
1．元音字母在闭音节的发音

闭音节：以一个或几个辅音字母(r 除外)结尾而中间只有一个元音字母的音节，称为闭音节。

开音节分两种，一种叫绝对开音节，一种叫相对开音节。
①绝对开音节：单个元音字母后面没有辅音字母的重读音节。例如：hi so no she he we by ........
②相对开音节：单个元音字母后面加单个辅音字母，再加一个不发音字母e构成的重读音节。例如：name the bike home excu like ...

（三）长元音（字母音）的字母组合
一般来说，一个单词或音节里有两个元音时，前边一个元音发长音（其字母音）， 后边一个元音不发音
