Jack London (1876-1916), who life symbolized the power of will, was the most successful writer in American in the early 20th century. Plot
The story begins before White Fang, a one-fourth dog and three-fourths wolf was born, with two men and their sled dogs team on a journey to deliver a dead man named Lord Alfred to go home. The men, Bill and Henry, were followed by a large pack of starving wolves over the cour of veral days. Finally, after all of their dogs and Bill have been eaten, some people found Henry trying to escape from the wolves and saved his life. The story then followed the wolves. Becau of lacking of food, many pairs of males and females left the group together, and after a fight between an old wolf with one eye and a grey leader wolf, a she-wolf with red fur and her mate, One Eye lived together in the forest. The she-wolf gave birth to five cubs in a small cave with a narrow entrance by a river, so One Eye needed to find food for his family. After many days, the baby wolves died from hunger one by one, but a little gray wolf survived. One day One Eye was killed by a lynx while trying to rob its den for food for the she-wolf and her cub; his mate later discovers his remains near the lynx's den. The surviving cub and the she-wolf are left to fend for themlves. Shortly after the she-wolf managed to successfully kill all the lynx kittens, prompting the lynx to track her down and a vicious fight broke out. The she-wolf e

He was saved by the Indians, but the pups never accepted him, and the leader Lip-lip always followed him and forced White Fang to fight. Thus made White Fang become very angry and hateful. Also, becau of Lip-Lip, White Fang had no friends and felt very lonely. Gradually, White Fang became very clever and was very good at avoiding Lip-Lip, became quicker of movement than the other dogs, more enduring, crueler, more ferocious, and more intelligent. He had to become all the things; el he would lo what belonged to him.
Soon came a horrible day. Kiche left White Fang for Gray Beaver gave her to another Indian to pay back debt. White Fang was very frightened of losing his mother so he tried to follow her, but his effort was in vain, he was picked up and was beat terribly and he cried and cried. Some days, he thought about leaving the camp and returning to the cave in the forest. Later, when the Indians were moving to a different place, White Fang decided to u this opportunity to be free from the Indians and their dogs. However, he felt very sad and lonely after people had left, so he ran to look for Gray Beaver, eventually, he found his host after two-day’s exhausted and painful journey.
Then Gray Beaver went on a long journey, so White Fang pulled a sled, which was drove by Mit-sah, Gray Beaver’s son. The long journey took many months, so White Fang grew very strong after pulling the sled for many long days. As time went by, he was more and more fierce, and killed Lip-Lip during a famine afterwards.

Next, White Fang defeated all opponents, including veral wolves and a lynx, until a bulldog is brought in to fight him. The bulldog managed to get a grip on the skin and fur of White Fang's neck, and slowly and surely began to throttle him. White Fang nearly suffocated, but was rescued when a rich, young gold hunter, Weedon Scott, happened by and stopped the fight.
