Abstract:With the continuous development of the society and the increasing
demand of the country for professional talents, higher vocational colleges play an
important role in training relevant professional talents for the society. For the major
of environmental art design, high-quality technical talents can greatly promote the
development of the domestic environmental art design market and improve the
economic benefits of relevant industries. However, there are still some deficiencies
in the current training of talents for related majors in most higher vocational
colleges. The domestic art and design related colleges are not systematic enough in All Rights Rerved.
the personnel training direction, training mode and training objectives to meet the
needs of the current society for such professional talents. Bad on this, this paper
mainly focus on the related concepts of higher vocational and technical education,
analyzes the problems existing in the training of environmental art design talents in
higher vocational colleges, and puts forward innovative suggestions for reference.

1. Introduction

higher vocational colleges focus on the education system. The cultivation of
environmental art talents in higher vocational colleges cannot meet the needs of the
market environment. Therefore, it is necessary to reposition the cultivation mode
and related concepts of professional talents in higher vocational colleges. Higher
vocational colleges should establish a long-term development plan when training
the students of environmental art design major, combine the school education with
the students’future career planning, meet the market demand and ensure the
long-term sustainable development of the major. This paper will analyze the
contents of education-related concepts and environmental art design, innovate
education methods and concepts in combination with professional characteristics,
improve the education practice system, and carry out innovative rearch from the
perspectives of students, schools and society.
2. Related Concepts of Higher Vocational and Technical
Education
The higher vocational and technical education has multiple related concepts, and the educational content also has diversified characteristics. Its main content All Rights Rerved.

vocational and technical education in China is the vocational and technical
education at the third level of education. The education for students in related
vocational colleges includes vocational and technical education before employment
and continuing education after employment. From the definition and standard of
foreign technical colleges, most vocational schools also include the above two parts,
but they are more detailed and strict in the professional training of students [1]. The
domestic higher vocational and technical education is approaching to the
international education standard constantly, which creates a broader development
space for training professional talents, is conducive to training talents and
promoting the flow of talents, and provides the corresponding theoretical and
practical basis for the domestic higher vocational and technical education.
3. Overview of Environmental Art Design
The major of environmental art design is subordinate to the major of art design. The specific major is divided into indoor environment design, outdoor
environment design, decorative art design, sculpture art design, etc. The major of
environmental art design requires students to have strong innovation and practice
ability, master the theoretical knowledge and professional skills of environmental

and design, and master the methods of environmental art design and the application
of relevant design software. The demand of the society for this kind of professional

garden design, environmental planning, etc. They are mainly oriented to landscape
planning institutes, interior decoration companies, architectural design institutes
and other related fields, and rve as landscape designers, 3D modelers, draftsmen,
builders and other positions.
4. The Current Situation of Environmental Art Design Professional
Training in Higher Vocational Colleges
(1) There is deviation in the concept of education and teaching

With the continuous progress of science and technology, the creative industry in the society continues to ri, and most vocational colleges have also expanded
the environmental art majors related to the creative industry in view of the market
direction. However, in the actual training process, they cannot combine market
development and needs, and lack clear goals in the training process [2]. In most
higher vocational colleges, the education orientation of environmental art design
major is not accurate, with multiple development goals and teaching contents
including multiple professional contents. However, in the process of education,
unified training programs and education cours are adopted. This behavior directly
affects the future career development prospects of professional students and results
in the lack of characteristics of relevant professional students.
(3) The talent training mode is not scientific enough

have skilled professional theory and planning ability, to have strong environmental
planning, design performance and spatial creativity, and to master a certain degree
of computer modeling and architectural drawing ability, it is important for students
to study and accumulate for a long time, combine professional theoretical
knowledge with practical content, and cloly integrate with market changes.
However, the training time for students of relevant majors in higher vocational
colleges is relatively short, and the training mode is mainly bad on mastering
basic knowledge and simple practical operation, which contradicts the market
demand.
(4) Defects in teaching methods
There are still some defects in the practical education of environmental art design in higher vocational colleges, which mainly focus on the imperfect system between
students’ professional investigation and field practice. Some higher vocational colleges
consider that the education cost and personal safety of students during the internship
have higher uncontrollable risks, and most of them adopt the way of reducing the

5. The Training Mode Innovation of Environmental Art Design
Professional Training in Higher Vocational Colleges
(1) Correcting the concept of education and teaching
Higher vocational colleges should train teachers with educational ideas, regularly organize teachers to share and exchange the teaching process and educational
achievements over a period of time, constantly update educational ideas, and create
certain incentive policies for students [3]. And they should also encourage students to
actively participate in the professional skills competition of campus environmental art
design, t up professional awards and bonus for students with outstanding
comprehensive quality and certain professionalism. At the same time, it is necessary to
put forward review requirements for the competition jury, comprehensively consider

competition. Through the competition, students’ learning objectives will be deepened

(2) Clear teaching objectives
Teachers should design teaching objectives with different characteristics for students according to different future career development directions in
environmental art design major, formulate reasonable talent training programs,
make the orientation of talent training objectives clear, and then develop towards
the direction of social demand for different professional talents. Schools should
provide regular career development guidance for students, promote students to
clear their own development prospects and actively communicate with teachers to
help them specify personalized learning programs.
(3) Establish a scientific talent training model
Higher vocational colleges should innovate in the mode of talent training and implement the mode of layered training, so that students can gradually transition

completing projects. It focus on cultivating students’ innovation ability through the
project teaching, arranges project tasks for students in the process of education,
determins the learning direction by completing tasks and gradually having an
independent way of thinking, and constantly strengthens students’ understanding of
the major. In the actual practice process, students are the leader, teachers are the
assistant to help students cultivate the n of teamwork, improve the ability of
their solutions, which is helpful for students’ future career development [4].
