摘要：
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device improved in image quality by suppressing occurrence of a dark current.
SOLUTION: When the ISO nsitivity is t at 100, the solid-state image nsor is driven with a first read-out mode, and when the ISO nsitivity is t at 200, 400, or 800, the solid-state image nsor is driven with a cond read-out mode. In the first read-out mode, one potential well L1 is formed by two vertical transfer paths 22 as shown in Fig.5(a), and the signal charge is read out therein and is quentially transferred in the row direction. In the cond read-out mode, one potential well L2 is formed by one vertical transfer path 22 as shown in Fig.5(b), and the signal charge is read out therein and is quentially transferred in the row direction. When the ISO nsitivity is t at 200, the potential of the bottom of the potential well L2 formed in the vertical transfer path 22 is VH as shown in Fig.7(a), and when the ISO nsitivity is t at 400 or the ISO nsitivity is t at 800, this potential VH is raid to a medium level VM between VL and VH as shown in Fig.7(b).
