I was never very neat, while my roommate Kate was extremely organized. Each of her objects had its place, but mine always hid somewhere. She even labeled(贴标签)everything. I always looked for everything. Over time, Kate got neater and I got messier. She would push my dirty clothing over, and I would lay my books on her tidy desk. We both got tired of each other.
War broke out one evening. Kate came into the room. Soon, I heard her screaming. “Take your shoes away! Why under my bed!” Deafened, I saw my shoes flying at me. I jumped to my feet and started yelling. She yelled back louder.
The room was filled with anger. We could not have stayed together for a single minute but for a phone call. Kate answered it. From her end of the conversation, I could tell right away her grandma was riously ill. When she hung up, she quickly crawled(爬)under her covers, sobbing.Obviously, that was not something she should go through alone. All of a sudden, a warm feeling of sympathy ro up in my heart.
Slowly, I collected the pencils, took back the books, made my bed, cleaned the socks and swept the floor, even on her side. I got so into my work that I even didn’t notice Kate
had sat up. She was watching, her tears dried and her expression one of disbelief. Then, she reached out her hands to grasp mine. I looked up into her eyes. She smiled at me, “Thanks.”
Kate and I stayed roommates for the rest of the year. We didn’t always agree, but we learned the key to living together: giving in, cleaning up and holding on.

Friendships can be difficult — becau often people aren't as honest and open as they should be. Sometimes, people finally get hurt.
Most problems with friendships come up becau people are just too lfish to care about the things that their friends need. They care about their own needs much more, whi
ch makes it hard for friendships to work. However, being lfish is part of human nature. A person is put together in order to take care of themlves and their own needs, not necessarily tho needs of other people. Even though being lfish is something that all humans are born with, it is something that everyone should be against.
The best thing to remember when you are a friend to anyone is that you need to treat your friends the same way that you'd like to be treated. This is wonderful advice for a friendship, becau it is really the only way to make sure that you are giving your friends everything you would want to be given in a friendship. Whenever you have a question about how you should treat a friend, it is easy to find an answer simply by asking yourlf what you would like your friend to do for you, if he or she was in your shoes.
Even if you're always thinking about how you'd like to be treated, and your friends are too, there are problems that come up from time to time in each friendship, and it is important to understand how to deal with the problems so that you can build stronger and healthier friendships. Problems like friends getting boyfriends or girlfriends and not spending enough time with their friends, or even friends finding new friends and leaving o
ld friends behind are problems that will probably come up with one or more of your friendships. It is important to know how to deal with the friend problems so that you can keep your friends and make new ones. No one wants to have a broken friendship.
25.This passage mainly talks about ________.
