4.3.1Reinforced Concrete Structures

The design and material requirements for concrete structures and foundations shall be in accordance with ACI 318M, Project Specifications, Structural Engineering Design Criteria (5574-AMD-CU-002) and Concrete Design (5574-AMD-CU-013).

4.4.1 Tie-in to existing systems

Wherever appropriate, CONTRACTOR shall determine suitable locations for
new connections to existing drainage systems so as to provide minimum
disturbance to the systems and any other adjacent rvices, together with
maintaining all existing plant rvices at all times. New connections to existing
drainage systems shall tie in at locations where the existing downstream system
has sufficient spare capacity to accommodate the propod design flow rate.
Alternatively CONTRACTOR shall upgrade existing systems wherever required
to accommodate the additional flows. Connection locations shown on FEED
package drawings are preliminary, bad on a FEED study and may not be
reflecting all the tie-ins locations. CONTRACTOR to verify, review and

shall verify the adequate capacity exists in existing systems for additional flows
generated by the propod works. Any shutdown requirements shall be

areas, it may be necessary to reconstruct a temporary diversion of some existing
rvices during the construction period. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for
locating, identifying and obtaining all necessary permits to divert or reconstruct
any existing rvices as required.

All tank bottoms shall be cathodically protected as per Specification DGS-MY-0001, Cathodic Protection and 5574-STD-CU-00004, Tank / Bundwall details.
