CONSTITUTION:In a vacuum pump having an impller 6, a suction pipe, a compression chamber body 18, and impeller legs 20, 21, the legs 20, 21 rves as the passage of a liquid. And, when the liquid is about to part from the passages, the inlet of the passage is blocked by a high-velocity liquid flow of the leg 21, and air in a space part corresponding to the length L is carried to the space H of a collecting pipe, through a compression chamber. Accordingly, the efficiency is higher compared with the conventional vacuum pump from the standpoint of principle and, since much compression is carried out symmetrically with the center of rotation by means of water during a rotation of the impeller, the pump can be made well balanced with reduced vibration and noi.
