Warning remarks about application
This standard draft is submitted to the public for checking and comments. Since the intended standard may differ from the prent version, application of this draft shall be agreed upon in a special form. Plea refer comments to Normenausschuss Ein-, Blech- und Metallwaren (NA EBM) in DIN, Kairswerther Str. 135,D-40474 Duesldorf.1 Field of application
This standard is applicable to ho/spigot connections with spring band clamps in accordance with DIN 3021-1 and stipulates the dimensions and execution of ho and spigot.2 References to standards
This standard contains dated or undated references, as well as definitions from other publications. Such references to standards are quoted in the pertinent passages in the text, and the publications are listed below. With dated references, subquent amendments or revisions of the publications only belong to this standard if they are included by amendments or revisions.

3 System:
3.1 Spring band clamp/ho/spigot
Correct functioning of the spring band clamp/ho/spigot system assured by veral characteristics that have been specifically matched to agree with each other:
− clamping forces
for the aling effect including long-time function,− pull-off forces
to take up dynamic axial loads are to be tested on a ca by ca basis,− geometrical dimensions for safe asmbling.
Minimum requirements are made on the geometry of the hos and spigots to ensure leak-proofness in the system. To attain the minimum requirements, the dimensions, tolerances, mould offt, parting edge and waviness of the spigot and ho must be co-ordinated with each other.
Selection of the spigot form is dependent on the material and production procedure for the spigot. How the minimum requirements are co-ordinated is described below.3.2 Spigots for hous accordance with table 1Dimensions in millimetres
The spigots need not fall in line with the pictorial reprentation, only the dimensions specified having to be maintained

3.3 Ho
The ho dimensions specified in Table 1 correspond to DIN 73411-1 (Table 1) and DIN 73379-1(Table 1) 3.3.1 Minimum ho requirement雅思考试报名网
applies to both ends of the ho

1) In this area for forms A, B and C:
−Rmax = 50 µm
−W (waviness) + Rmax = max. 100 µm
w ave length min. 5 mmglobe
tecom−longitudinal scorings inadmissible
−Permissible out-of-roundness:0.2 mm for d s≤ 25
0.3 mm for d s >25
−admissible mould offt and parting edge:0.05 mm for d s≤ 20
0.1 mm for d s >20
2) The bead diameter is determined according to the following equations:
d s≤ 25:d w = d s × 1.12
d s >25 bis ≤ 37: d w= d s + 2.5
d s > 37:d w= d s + 3
3) Sharp edges are inadmissible.
4) For ds > 20 mm Form A is preferable when the pull-of f force is subject to more demanding requirements.
5) ds >20 mm is inadmissible.
6) Admissible mould offt and parting edge max. 0.04 mm. Only rounded rais are admissible.
7) Applicable for the push-on length > 28 mm is:
−longitudinal scorimgs are inadmissible.
−Admissible waviness 0.3 mm within ¼ of the circumference.
For testing, a test mandrel falling in line with the maximum internal diameter is to be inrted into the ho.
