摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain polished stainless steel having superior corrosion resistance by immersing surface-polished stainless steel in a nitric acid-bad aq. soln. to regulate the ratio of Cr to Fe in the surface layer of a prescribed thickness to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:Surface-polished stainless steel is immerd in nitric acid or a nitric acid-bad aq. soln. to regulate the ratio of the number of Cr atoms to that of Fe atoms in the surface layer of 20Angstrom thickness to >=0.5. Thus, polished stainless steel having superior corrosion resistance is obtd.
