4．能听懂并完成Let’s try 部分练习。

教具准备：
1．课前准备录音机和磁带。
2．教师准备活动所需表格。
3．相应的图片。
教学过程：
Step1:Warm-up
(1)出示A部分单词卡片，学生看卡片齐读单词。
(2)Free talk:

How old are you?
How tall are you?
设计思路：通过A部分单词的朗读，可以使学生更熟练掌握单词，以及通过日常口语的问答，使学生对前面所学句型有了一定程度的巩固与了解。
Step2: Preview
(1)教师出示自己、爸爸、妈妈的照片，然后向学生展示并表述：Look! This is my family. This is my father. He is 172cm tall. This is my mother. She is 158cm tall. And this is me. I am 156cm tall.
(2)请学生拿出自己带来的照片，小组内进行说话练习：
This is my … He is …cm tall.
This is my …nylon66 She is …you are everywherecm tall.
This is me. I am …cm tall.
最后总结：My father is …cm taller than my mother. My mother is …cm taller than me.
(3)Let’s try: Listen and circle
录音如下：There are three elephants in a zoo. Father elephant is taller and older than Mother elephant. Mother elephant is smaller than Father elephant. She is stronger than her son. Son elephant is younger but taller than his mom and dad. Which picture is the son elephant? (学生听音完成练习)
(4)教师带领学生一起说说这三只大象的样子，教师问：What is the Mother elephant like? What is the Father elephant like? Is the Mother elephant stronger than her son?（学生看图回答）
设计思路：通过让学生自己带来爸爸妈妈的照片，然后在小组内进行讨论，进一步让学生练习了所学句型，并给了学生大胆开口说的机会。而通过照片的练习，自然过渡到听音选择部分，从而使学生更容易完成该部分任务。
Step3: Prentation
(1)课件出示三组数字：

设计思路：通过对数字的复习，让学生能更好使用数字的表达式，对数字也有一定的敏感度。
（2）由上述的最后两个数字引出：
T：Do you know who is 188cm tall? Who is 226cm tall?
学生猜，教师适当给一点提示，如：He is a good runner. He likes running. He is a good basketball player. He likes playing basketball. 学生很快就会猜出是刘翔与姚明。然后教师让学生对他们二人进行比较，学生根据所学知识进行表述：
Liuxiang is …cm tall. Yaoming is …cm tall.
夏奇拉好听的歌Liuxiang is …cm shorter than Yaoming.
Yaoming is …cm taller than Liuxiang.

设计思路：学生对明星有一定的关注度，由学生熟悉的体育明星引出句型，使学生更容易掌握。
（3）教师出示刘翔与姚明的图片（注明身高、体重、年龄），让学生看图片对图片进行自由描述。
