摘要：The leading edges (40, 50) of the gmented corrugated springs of each of the two bump foils (16, 24) of a hydrodynamic thrust bearing (10) are offt such that the leading edge (40) in the upper gmented corrugated springs (16) are circumferentially spaced relative to the leading edge (50) of the lower gmented corrugated springs (24) that is underlying each respective gment of the bump foils. In some embodiments, the leading edge of the bump foil is attached and the trailing edge is free to move axially and in other embodiments, the rever occurs where the trailing edge of the bump foil is attached and the leading edge is free to move axially.
