To stress the importance of hardworking spirit education among students of different ages, the Chine government relead a guideline in March. The guideline encourages students to respect work. Students should learn basic life skills and develop good working habits through such education.
However, it has been overlooked in a way. For example, some teens don't value the importance of working hard and aren't interested in doing so. Some are even bored with hard work.
infeldAccording to a study of nearly 3, 000 primary and middle school students, only 22 percent of them help with everyday chores around the hou. The study was done by Ningbo Evening News in March.
Schools and families play an important role in teaching students about the value of working hard, the guideline says.
Primary and middle schools should provide students with hardworking spirit class every week. Schools can also hold activities to give students real-world experience. For example, schools can teach children the way to plant trees on Tree Planting Day.
Parents, as children's first teachers, should also help children to learn how to do chores at home. Students should master one or two life skills every year. The skills can include cooking, tidying rooms and washing their own clothes. They should have enough life skills to deal with problems when they grow up.
11.Why did the government relea the guideline?
A.To help students learn basic life skills.
B.To stress hardworking spirit education.
