摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner, a binder resin, a master batch pigment, a developer, a method for manufacturing the materials, and a method and an apparatus for forming electrophotographic images with little odor and excellent prerving property of the environment. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a resin for an electrophotographic toner includes manufacturing process of adding water to a resin or a resin material before, during or after the synthesis, bubbling the reaction solvent with water under reduced pressure and volatilizing a volatile component with water. In the master batch pigment for the electrophotographic toner, the weight concentration of the volatile component except for water produced by heating at 150 deg.C for 10 minutes is <=500 μg/g to the master batch pigment.
