Step 1: Lead-in

2. The teacher provides some information related to the reading passage.

Step 2: Ask the students to skim the passage and be prepared to answer the comprehension questions on page 43.

2. Explanation of difficult ntences
1) (Para. 6) Why is it that the more connected we get, the more disconnected I feel?
Analysis: In this ntence, the antecedent it stands for the subject that-clau (that the more connected we get, the暑假培训班 more disconnected I feel), where the comparative … structure is ud. Similar structure can be found in “What is it that …?”
