摘要：The vehicle (1) has a detecting device (6) for detecting information relative to ahead-driving vehicle. A linear guiding system (2) e.g. adaptive cursive control (ACC)system and driver assistance system, brakes the vehicle depending on the information.
The system automatically again starts the vehicle depending on authentication signal provided by a driver during detection of restarting of the ahead-driving vehicle. An input device (7) provides a signal within a time interval before detecting ahead-driving vehicle restart, and the system process the signal as the authentication signal. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatically and linearly guiding a motor vehicle by a linear guiding driver assistance system using stop and go function.
