Warming up 1.Ask the students to look at the picture and discuss: 2. Introduce the key themes to the students. 3. Ask the students to listen to the five ntences and match the people and what they are going to do in Activity, Warming up. 4. Ask the students to read the eight pieces of information in Activity and choo the five important pieces often involved in making an appointment. Step 1 Listening & Speaking practice (1) . Ask the students to read the words in the word box on Page 57. Then ask the students to read them after the tape. II. Ask the students to listen to a short dialogue and think about : What are they going to do? III. Play the tape twice and ask the students to practice the dialogue after the tape. IV. Prent the basic ntences on the blackboard: What’s up? When and where shall we meet? How about…? V. Ask the students to form groups. Listen to the tape again and act the dialogue out by using the information in Activity. Ask the students to pay attention to the tips. VI.
