theboardofdirectors,hedidn’tdeny__________b

reakingtheagreement.

licize

dpartfunctionsasa(n)_______.

tive(同位语)m

ent.

Complement(主语补足语)istheobligatoryconstituentwhich

followsacopularverb(系动词)andwhichcannotbemadesubject

inapassiveclau:比如Who’sthereIt’sme/It’

eetoask

questions!”

词叫做predicatenoun/nominative,接的形容词叫做predicate

adjective。

verbscanbeudtolinkthesubjecttoitsComplement;the

addmeaningsoftransition(become,get,go,grow,turn)andof

perception(sound,smell,look)amongothers,”比如Iknowit

uationbecomevenwor.

Moreproblematicistheconstituentfollowingotherverbsthat

couldbeudintransitivelywiththesamemeaning,asin:

SaintEthelbertwasbornaSaxonprincess.(shewasborn)

Hereturnedabrokenman.(hereturned)

Hediedyoung.(hedied)

WeshallconsidersuchconstituentsasComplementsonthe

strengthofthepossibleparaphracontainingbe(Whenhe

returnedhewasabrokenman;Whenhediedhewasyoung).

fthefollowingisacompoundword(复合词)

it

Acompoundisawordthat

consistsofmorethanonefreemorpheme。

bound。

fthefollowingntencescontainssubjunctivemood

sistedthathersongethomebefore5o'clock.

dtodrivetowork,butnowshetakesthecityme

tro.

raightahead,anddon'tturntillthecondtraf

ficlights.

llcancelhisflightifhecannotgethisvisaby

Friday.

lowingdeterminers(限定词)canbeudwithbothplu

ralanduncountablenounsEXCEPT__________.

比如moremoney,moretrees;enoughmoney,enoughtrees;many

money,manytrees;suchbigtrees,suchbehavior.所以选C。

A,C里的and表示先后;D

ftheitalicizedpartsindicatesCONTRAST

nedthedoorandquietlywentin.

ialikesmusicandSamisfondofsports.

toveragainandyou'llgetananswer.

mewhatarrogant,andIdon'tlikethis.

fthefollowingCANNOTbeudasanominalsubstitu

te(名词替代词)

er

ones,(the)same等都是常见的。比如Therearegoodfilmsaswell

asbadones. Slang

disappearsquickly,especiallythejuvenilesort.

词等比如all,both,some,anyenough,veral,none,many,much,

(a)few,(a)little,theother,others,another,either,

neither等,比如’t

wantanymorefood.I’vehadenough.

followingntencesdefinitelyindicatefuturetime

EXCEPT__.

istohaveteawithAuntBettyatfour.

sidentiscomingtotheUNnextweek,

oolpupilswillbehomebynow.

ingtoemailmethenecessaryinformation.

true,表说话人自己的看法,比如ThatwillbeTimcominghomenow;

Askanyoneandtheywilltellyouthesamething.本题选C。

fthefollowingntencesisgrammaticallyINCORRECT

csaretheartorscienceofgovernment.

esemslikealongwalktome.

sakindofinfectiousdia.

furniturehasarrivedundamaged.

解析:本题考查主谓一致(agreement/concord)。

Politicshavealwaysinterestedme.本题选A。

finthefollowingphrasindicatesasubject-predi

caterelationship

ofNewton

ysofOsca

rWilde

用法上有许多相同之处,比如thetrunkofanelephant=an

lawofNewton。

fthefollowingitalicizedpartsrvesasanapposi

tive

tthemantodrawback.

tbacktheurgetotellalie.

asalargefamilytosupport.

sreallynothingtofear.

fthefollowingisNOTanimperativentence

riveyouhome,shallI

lmindyourownbusiness.

dhavedinnerwithus.

oucouldstaybehind.

头,Do/Don't,You/其他唤名+动词,let类型外,均没有见到D的wish

Youmindyourown

business。

You

mindyourownbusiness.

_______tomorrow,thematchwouldbeputoff.

ned

fthefollowingntencexpressafact

dhersonmustbehomebynow.

ssreadingmustgivepoorresults.

’sgettinglate,andImustleavenow.

beworkinglateattheoffice.

haveto。比如IfJaneisPat'ssisterandJillisJane'sdaught

er,PatmustbeJill'saunt.

Carelessreadingmustgivepoorres

ults.

lowingarealldynamicverbs(动态动词)EXCEPT______

____.

know. Iamknowingthe

hadexpected.

ingD.

Acquainting

dupwiththesameolddrearyroutine,andwantsto

erlinedpartmeans__________.

解析:dreary指dull,选A。

night’spartyLarrysaidsomethingthatIthough

erlinedpartmeans__________.

n’tunderstand

n’ttolerate

解析:bebeyondsomebody指tobetoodifficultforsomeoneto

understand.故选B。

ple__________theiroldhouandsolditforavast

hD.

didup

解析:选D。doup这里指torepairanoldbuildingorcar,orto

improveitsappearance。

Doyourlacesupbeforeyoutripover.

ontributedalottotheproject,butsheneveronce

acceptedallthe__________forherlf.

解析:选A。

someoneforsomethingtheyhavedone.常见搭配有givecredit;

take/claim/dervecredit。

ldnodded,apparentlycontentwithhismother’s

erlinedpartmeans__________.

soneis

concerned

soneistold

looksorasituationappears,althoughyoucannotbesure.

Iwasn’tthere,butapparentlythethief

gotaway.

__________thatsportbuildscharacteriswellaccepted

bypeoplenowadays.

.

ntence

somethingistrueoruntrue,rightorwrong。

上习惯是说takethe/sb’spoint.

neintheofficeknowsthatMelindatakesinfinite

erlinedpartmeans__________.

eD.

much

measurewillreducethechanceofriousinjuryin

erlinedpartmeans__________.

cidentcanbe

prevented

anaccident

解析:选A。intheeventofsomethingisudtotellpeople

whattheyshoulddoifsomethinghappens.

ionally,localmidwiveswould__________allthe

babiesinthearea.

rD.

help

erlined

partmeans__________.

ng

thatashop,restaurant,companyetcus.

rtwouldnotaccepthisappealunless__________

evidenceisprovided.

alD.

concluding

解析:选A。

isdefinitelytrue,比如conclusiveproof/evidence/findings。旁

证是circumstantialevidence.

asheopenedthedoor,a__________ofcoldair

sweptthroughthehou.

.

blast

首先句子里动词用了sweep,指tomovesuddenlyand/orwith

forceoveranareaorinaparticulardirection.而blast指a

suddenstrongmovementofair。

hereandiswhatnativespeakerswouldprefer.

llywantedtosaysomethingatthemeeting,but

eventually__________fromit.

dD.

restricted

解析:refrainfromsth/doingsth指tonotdosomethingyouwant

pletoldthedecoratorthattheywantedtheir

erlinedpartmeans__________.

ully

y

所谓gailypainted/colored/decorated指

havingbrightcheerfulcolors.所以选A。
