描述一个景点或城市的特征。本单元的课文情境是Daming向Simon
介绍他带给Simon的中国明信片。Daming向Simon说明了长城有多长,
北京有多大,同时,Simon也告诉Daming纽约有多大。课文充分展示
了两位小朋友对异国文化的好奇心以及求知欲望,同时也增强了各自
的祖国意识。学生通过学习进而能够运用所学语言简单描述一个景点
或城市。本单元的学习为全体学生在Unit2运用英语详细介绍自己所
了解的一座城市做了充分的准备。本单元共1课时完成。
学情分析
本模块的学习重点是学会运用Howlongisit?以及It’smorethan…long.
这一结构。尽管这是学生初次接触谈论物品长度的句型,但是,在之
前的学习中学生充分理解和使用了howmany,howmuch,howold等相
似的句型,所以学生理解起来并不难,主要是通过这种句型来接触和
学习一些新词汇并学会运用,同时,通过学习帮助学生复习和归纳be
动词is/are的用法。相信学生能够通过读和说等活动很好地完成本课的
学习任务。从而,能够在本模块学习结束后用英语详细介绍自己所了
解的一座城市的相关特征。
