children’sunderstandingsofconceptsand
thecreativethinkingandinquiryprocess
thatarenecessaryforlifelonglearning’
(EYLF,p.32).
LearningOutcomeFourspecifically
highlightstheimportanceofchildren
becomingconfidentandinvolvedlearners
throughthedevelopmentof‘skillsand
processsuchasproblemsolving,
inquiry,experimentation,hypothesising,
rearchingandinvestigating’(EYLF,p.35).
TheNationalQualityStandard(NQS)(ACECQA,2011)addressthiskindoflearningin
