其实选择where还是which要看后面的从句缺不缺成分。

首先，以本题为例，live是不及物动词，所以后面不能直接跟宾语，要跟宾语就

必须是livein+宾语。

其次，where是疑问副词，which是疑问代词。副词不可以做动词的宾语，而代

词可以。

所以本题里where和which都指代theplace，当which代词指代时就必须是

liveinwhich。而where不能作宾语，而live是不及物动词也不能直接跟宾语，

所以它们就可以一起使用livewhere

所以，一般讲来——首先看后面的谓语动词是及物动词还是不及物动词。

其次看where，which指代的内容在句子里是充当什么成分，

如果指代宾语，那及物动词后面就跟which，不及物动词where。

再次，where疑问副词可以转换成介词+疑问代词，本题里

where=inwhich
