PatrickbroughtCharlotteandheryoungersisterEmily,whohadrecentlyjoinedthemattheschool,back
homeassoonastheothergirlsbecameill,butCharlotteinparticularneverforgotwhattheschoolhad
beenlike.
Thesurvivingkidsallbecameeachothers'eatedthekingdomofGondalandwrote
tteandBranwellwereinchargeofAngria
proper,whileEmilyandAnne(theyoungest)rantheneighboringkingdomofGondal.
Charlotte'tte'stimetherewas
brief,lessthantwoyears,butitledtohereventualwritingofVillettebeginningin1852.

wasgoingblind,1846thethreesisterspublishedabookofPoems,andthough
