PatrickbroughtCharlotteandheryoungersisterEmily,whohadrecentlyjoinedthemattheschool,back

homeassoonastheothergirlsbecameill,butCharlotteinparticularneverforgotwhattheschoolhad

beenlike.

Thesurvivingkidsallbecameeachothers'eatedthekingdomofGondalandwrote

tteandBranwellwereinchargeofAngria

proper,whileEmilyandAnne(theyoungest)rantheneighboringkingdomofGondal.

Charlotte'tte'stimetherewas

brief,lessthantwoyears,butitledtohereventualwritingofVillettebeginningin1852.

Backhome,Charlottelapdintochronicunemploymentandverehypochondria,actuallythinkingshe

wasgoingblind,1846thethreesisterspublishedabookofPoems,andthough

saleswereveryslow,tte's

novelofthistime,TheProfessor,wasactuallyratherbad,sufferingfromaless-than-believeablemain

itwaspublishedin1847,
