白宫国宴

白宫坐落于美国华盛顿哥伦比亚特区宾夕法尼亚西北大道,它是由美

国第一任总统乔治•华盛顿选定修建地址，并由詹姆斯•霍本设计主持

修建而成，主要用于美国总统在任期内办公并和家人居住。白宫于

1793年开始修建，并于1800年竣工。白宫主要由主楼和东、西两翼

三部分组成，占地白宫共占地7.3万多平方米，主楼分为3层，分别

为底层、一楼和二楼；底层由外交接待大厅、图书室、地图室、瓷器

室、金银器室和白宫管理人员办公室等构成，主楼一层，主要分为国

宴室、红室、蓝室、绿室和东室，主楼二层，为总统全家居住的地方。

另外白宫以前并不叫做白宫，而是叫做总统大厦或者总统之宫；于

1901年，被西奥多•罗斯福总统正式地定名为“白宫”并沿用至今！
