Althoughstudentbriefsalwaysincludethesameitemsof
information,theforminwhichtheitemsaretoutcanvary.
Beforecommittingyourlftoaparticularformforbriefing
cas,checkwithyourinstructortoensurethattheformyou
havechonisacceptable.
THEPARTIESANDHOWTOKEEPTRACKOFTHEM
Beginningstudentsoftenhavedifficultyidentifying

Theperson,whomustrespondtothepetition,thatis,the
winnerinthelowercourt,iscalledtherespondent.
