In1987,NorwegianPrimeMinisterGroHarlemBrundtlandintroducedtheterm

„sustainabledevelopment‟inherreportentitledOurCommonFuturetotheWorldEnvironment

andDevelopmentCouncil.

TheUnitedNationsEnvironmentandDevelopmentConferenceheldinRiodeJaneiro,

Brazil,in1992,acceptedthenewtermandpasdtheframeworkdocumentcalled„Agenda21‟.

Theconferencewasamilestoneandmarkedashiftfromtraditionaldevelopmentandlife

andenvironmentalprotectionhadfinallyachievedequalimportance.
