Time短语的意义及用法

me(forsomeperiodoftime)"一段时间，一些时候"。例如：

me(atsomeuncertaintime)"在某一时候"。可用来指过去或将来。例如：

Isawhimsometimeatthelibrary.我偶尔在图书馆里见到他。

"Sometimenextweek."下周某个时候。"

mes(attimes,fromtimetotime)"有时，不时"。可置于句首或句尾，也可置于

谓语当中。例如：

(soonenough,earlyenough)"及时，按时"。例如：

(atthespecifiedtime;atthecorrecttime;punctually)"准时；按时；于指定事件”。

含有“不退于规定时间”的意思。例如：

e(once)"—次；每次”。可用于多种时态。例如：

Awhalemayeatatonoffoodatatime.

ime(once;inaformertime;atthesametime)"一度；过去曾经；同时"。常和一般

过去时连用。例如：

Atonetime,therewerelongqueuesofpeoplewaitingoutsidetheCAACoffices.

me(never)"决不，在任何时候都不"。置于句首时，需用倒装语序。例如：

AtnotimewillChinabethefirsttoemploynuclearweapons.中国绝不首先使用核武器。

me(almostatonce;verysoon)"立亥叭马上、彳艮快"。例如：I'llbebacinno

time.我马上就回来。

ime(notlaterthan)"不退于、至U...时候"。在句中可作状语，也可当作连词使

用，引导时间状语从句。如：

/thistime"到那/这时"。只能作状语，常与将来完成时或过去完成时连用。例如：

Bythattimehe'llhavegotthere到那时他早就到了。

用于倍数句型：表示“A比B多(大、重、长等)多少倍、A是B得多少倍。常用于以下三

种句型：

1).A...数词+times+形容词/副词比较级+thanB.例如：

ThepopulationinandaroundSanFranciscoisnowtentimesmorethanitwasin1906.

GivemethreetimesmorethanAntonioborrowedfromme.

2).A...数词+timesas+形容词/副词+asB.例如：

AsiaisfourtimesaslargeasEurope.亚洲是欧洲的四倍大。(亚洲比欧洲大三倍。)

3).A...数词+times+名词(size,length,height,width,etc.)of+B.例如:

Theearthis49timesthesizeofthemoon.地球的大小是月球的49倍。

Thelengthofthisropeisthreetimesthelengthofthatone.这根绳子的长度时那根绳子的三

倍。

me...意为"是......的时候了、现在该...了"。后跟不定时、for引起的短语或that

引起的从句。从句谓语用虚拟语气，过去式表示现在或将来。例如：

Itistimetopayforthem.

Itisthetimeoftheyearforthericeharvest.

Itistimethatwewenthome.

Itistimewewentandpickedupmylittlegirlfromschool.
