behaviorbyoneormorestudentsdirectedagainstastudentwhohas
llyingoccurswithoutany
apparentprovocationonthepartofthestudentwhoixpod."Inhis
1993book,Bullyingatschool:Whatweknowandwhatwecando,Dr.
Olweusidentifiescharacteristicsofstudentswhoaremostlikelytobe
bulliesandthothataremostlikelytobevictimsofbullying.
Theyhaveastrongneedtodominateandsubdueotherstudentsandto
gettheirownway:

understandchildrenphysical,emotional,andeducationalconquencesof
bullying,topreventdisturbancebybullies,andtomakeapositive
psychosocialschoolenvironments.

Studentswhoareverelyandrepeatedbulliedoftendonotwantto
ullyinghas
becomemoreintenandmoreaggressivemaydamagechildren’s
lf-esteem,causingemotionalwound.

lf-esteem,wellintoadulthood,andthebulliesthemlvesaremorelikely
