Englishteachinginhighervocationalcollegesshouldbebadontheprinciple
of“practicalandsufficient”tocultivatestudents’abilitytolisten,speak,
read,writeandtranslate,tofosterstudents’abilitytolearnindependentlyand
icknowledgeandvocational
skillsofEnglishareveryimportanttocultivatestudents’innovativespiritand
creativeability.
2.3Broadeningthestructureofstudents’Professionalability
HighervocationalAmericanEnglishteachingrequiresstudentstodeveloptheir
ownlanguageknowledge,phonetic,grammaticalandlexicalknowledge,listening,
speaking,reading,writingandtranslating.
