beenconsistentlyappliedresultinginincreadriskoffinanciallossandofotherliabilities

Allcontracts,grantsoragreements(otherthanemploymentagreementsorsimplepurcha

orders)thatcommitWillametteUniversitytoreceiveordisburavalueof$10,000ormoreor

thatcommittheUniversityforaperiodgreaterthanoneyearrequireauthorizationbytheDeanor

suchcontractoragreementuponexecutionistobeforwardedtotheofficeoftheVicePresident

reviewinadvancebytheVicePresidentforFinancialAffairsandcanonlybeexecutedbythe

PresidentorthePresident’etteUniversityincludingallitscolleges,schools,

departments,operatingunits,associationsandclubswillnotconsideritlfboundbycontractsor

agreementscreatedorexecutedinviolationofthispolicy.

PROCEDURE

Forcontracts,grantsoragreementsvaluedat$30,000ormorethefollowingformalongwiththe

contractoragreementshouldbenttotheofficeoftheVicePresidentforFinancialAffairswho

willreviewthecontractanddeterminewhetheradditionalreviewbylegalcounlisappropriate.

OnceitisreviewedandapprovedatthatlevelitwillbeforwardedtothePresidentforexecution.

Theoriginalexecutedcontractoragreementwillthenbereturnedtotheoriginator.
