in my personal judgement, parents should not completely sacrifice themlves to childrens academic interest and welfare. it is unwi for them to pin(寄托，寄寓) all epectations and hopes on their children while neglecting themlves. various sacrifices in monetary(金钱的), material and spiritual terms may change into pressure on children rather than motivation for more satisfactory results.
