苹果公司的灵魂人物史蒂夫·乔布斯24日宣布，将不再担任首席执行官，同时“强烈建议”由此前担任苹果首席运营官的蒂姆·库克作为接班人。

苹果董事阿特·列文森（Art Levinson）在声明中表示：“董事会完全相信蒂姆·库克就是我们下一任首席执行官的合适人选”。他还称，乔布斯将通过他的独特见解、创意和灵感，继续为苹果服务。

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know.

Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to rve, if the Board es fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
