教材

内容构成

书籍分为 单元(Uint)、课文注释(Notes on the Text)、听力材料(Tapescripts)、发音(Pronunciation)、语法(Grammar)、各单元单词(Words and Expressions in Each Unit)、词汇索引(Vocabulary Index)、不规则动词变化(Irregular Verbs)八大板块组成。

其中单元内可分为SectionA 、Grammar Focus、SectionB和Self Check组成。

特点

概述

新目标英语教学改变了以往“以讲为主”的教学模式,融入了“合作互动”的信心理念,将教师的引导作用和学生的自主学习结合起来,从而达到了教学实效。在新目标英语教学实践中,渗透“合作互动”理念。包括科学引导小组讨论、设置情景化的英语教学氛围,强调趣味教学等内容。在教学实践中还应注意一系列的新目标英语交际自主学习合作学习探究能力。

众所周知英语是一种交际工具,英语教学的目的就是培养和发展学生使用这种交际工具的能力。这一主题已逐渐为我国的英语教师和学生所熟悉和接受。

挖掘课本

《新目标英语》在要求教师转变自身教育观念、教学方式和教学行为的同时,也要求学生转变传统的学习方法。加强对学生学习策略的指导,为他们的终身学习奠定基础,使学生养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略是英语课程改革的重要任务之一。Go For It! 最显著的特征就是要求学生采用自主学习、合作学习和探究式学习的学习方式。新目标英语是新大纲所规定的交际教学的具体体现,它改变了传统的英语教学观念,从语言的实际意义出发来 安排语言教学活动和教学形式,以达到语言交际的目的。新目标英语不再单纯以语法项目为主要脉络来组织和安排 教学内容,而是根据交际目的的需要,既考虑语言的功能、意念和话题,也考虑词汇和语法结构等因素,并使它们有机地结合在一起。让学生在合作学习的氛围中学会利用英语进行交际。因此,教师应该吃透教材,充分发挥自己的聪明才智,结合各种教法的特点,创造性地组织教材,精心地、科学地构思教案的整体结构,认真推敲每一个教学细节,并巧妙地将相关学科知识引入教学,使静态教材内容变为具有探究性地研究问题,诱发学生探索。教师应深刻理解体会教材不同语言材料的内在联系,培养驾驭教材的能力,充分开发课本资源,才能依据教材内容有效地组织好教学,在课堂上创造浓厚的英语交际氛围。《Go For It!》 每个单元都有Pair Work(结对活动), Group Work(小组活动) 和Games(游戏)(某些单元没有)。同桌之间、小组之间互相交谈,互相讨论,既互相切磋,实现学生与学生之间的互动是Go For It! 的最基本的活动。它使每个学生都处于一种相对放松的心理状态,不用担心出错。非常有利于激活学生的思维,为每个学生提供了一种“畅所欲言”、“言之有物”的难得机会。促使学生启用更多的思维方法,拓展更大的思维空间,获得更多的思维结果,培养更强的思维能力。问题,在不断地探索过程中将新目标英语教学推向更广阔的未来。

以人为主

通常,教师在组织课堂教学时,依据的是教材内容及备课教案,这样才能有计划、有步骤地完成教学任务 ,但教师在课堂教学中切忌拘泥于教材内容及教案,应做到精讲多练。因为一方面由于各地的教学条件、学生的特点等存在着不同程度的差异,教师需要根据各地情况适当增补教学材料,采用灵活多变的教学方式。另一方面,教师要对教学充满激情,因为丰富的表情、幽默的语言、一举手一投足,都会创造一种和谐的交际氛围,激发学生愉悦的情感,使他们乐于开口说英语。由于英语课堂交际教学是动态的,它以学生为中心开展教学活动,教学中应以学生为主体。在探究式的合作学习中,学生会获得一种平等的交谈权利,他们互相交流、互相尊重,既“充满了温情和友爱,又体现了互动与竞赛。在小组活动中,每个人都有机会发表自己的观点和看法,也乐意倾听他人的意见,大家合作学习,学习就变得更加轻松愉快。更有利于学生的心理发展。只有采取了有效的教与学行为,才能唤醒沉睡的潜能,激活封存的记忆,开启幽闭的心智,放飞囚禁的情愫。因此,课堂教学不可能一切按教师事先所设计的那 样运行。教师对教学过程的构想设计都会因为某个教学环节的突然变化失去作用。因此,教师在课堂教学中必 须有较强的灵活性,以适应动态多变的课堂。

直观教学

初中阶段的英语教学都比较形象具体,和学生们的日常生活或者生活经验密切相关,易于实施直观教学。直观教学可以利用一些基本的教具,如图片、模型、实物、简笔画等,教师也可以借助手势、动作或面部表情来辅助教学。直观教学使英语教学变得生动、形象,为英语教学提供各种教学情景和真实的交际场合,有助于营造英 语交际情境和气氛。学生不用借助翻译就能够理解所学内容,从而促进学生直接用英语思维,增加课堂使用英语的机会。利用直观教学也可以使教学方法及方式多样化,可以使学生的听觉、视觉、都参与到课堂教学活动中来,符合少年儿童的心理学发展规律,容易激发和保持学生的学习兴趣,作为英语教师应最大限度地调动 学生的学习积极性。充分调动每个学生参与到课堂教学活动中来。
