Ordersareusuallywrittenonacompany’sofficialorderform,whichhasadate,andreferencenumberthatshouldbequotedinanycorrespondencewhichreferstotheorder.Eveniftheorderistelephoned,itmustbeconfirmedinwriting,andanorderformshouldalwaysbeaccompaniedbyeitheracomplimentsliporacoveringletter.Acoveringletterispreferableasitallowsyoutheopportunitytomakeanynecessarypointsandconfirmthetermsthathavebeenagreedupon.
