In1957,Dr.SeusswroteTheCatintheHat.Heudlessthan230wordstowrite
thebookandevenasix-year-oldshouldbeabletoreadit.Itwasafunstoryandeasy
toread.Childrenlovedit.Theirparentslovedit,too.Todayitisstilloneofthe
storiestheylikebest.ThesuccessofTheCatintheHatmadehimwanttowritemore
booksforchildren.In1960,hewroteabookusinglessthanfiftywords.Thebookis
calledGreenEggsandHam.
In1984,DoctorSeusswonaPulitzerPrize.Hewashonoredfortheeducationand
enjoymenthisbooksprovidedAmericanchildrenandtheirparents.Hediedattheage
of87,buthisinfluenceremains.Millionsofhisbookshavebeensoldworldwide.People
