Afterawhile,thegodessbroughtoutanaxemadeofgoldfromthelake.
"Isthisyouraxe,mygoodman?'Askedthegodess.
"No,'Saidthewoodcutter,"Thatisnotmyaxe.'
Thenthegodessbroughtoutasilveraxe,thewoodcuttersaidthatwasnthisaxeagain.
Thethirdtime,shebroughtoutthewoodcuttersaxe.Thewoodcutterwasveryhappyandsaid,"Thisismyaxe,thankyouverymuch'
Antheendofthestory,thegodesswasverypleadwiththewoodcuttershonesty.Hedidnttellalie,sothathecangetthegoldorthesilveraxe,hejustwantedwhathederve.Soshedesidedtogiveboththegoldandsilveraxetohim.Thewoodcuttersoldtheaxes,andbecameakindrichman.
