1Introduction
ThisstudenthandbookprovidessomegeneralinformationabouttheFinanceProgrammeintheDivisionofEconomics,JiangxiUniversityofFinanceandEconomicsModernEconomicsandManagementCollege.Studentscanalsofindspecificinformationabouttheprogrammecurriculum,structure,degreerequirements,etc.inthishandbook.Studentsshouldreadthishandbookcarefullyandtalktotheirmentor,teacher,ProgrammeCoordinator,ortheDivisionDeaniftheyhaveanyqueries.Thecontentsofthishandbookareforreferenceonly,andaresubjecttochangewithoutnotice.

TheFinanceProgrammeatJUFEiscommittedtoquality,leading-edgeeducationandrearch.ItofferstheBachelorofEconomicsinFinance.
2.1TeachingMethodsandMediumofInstruction
Thereisanextensiveprogrammeoflectures,class,andminars.Teachingwillbemainlybyformallectures.Tutorialswillalsobeorganizedtofurthercomplementformallectures.Themostup-to-dateITtoolstoaidteachingandlearningwillbeud.Englishisthemediumofinstructionforlecturesandtutorials.Studentsarerequiredtoattendalllectures.Tominimizedisruptionto

class,studentsshouldarrivepromptlyandshouldremainintheclassroomforthedurationofthelecture.
2.2ProgrammeAims,Objectives,andLearningOutcomes
ThegeneralaimoftheBachelorofBachelorofEconomicsinFinancedegreeprogrammeistoequipstudentswithbasicknowledgeinfinancialinvestmentandtopreparestudentsforthemulti-dimensionfieldoffinancialmanagement.GraduateswillbeinastrongpositiontogainemploymentwithprivateandpubliccompaniesinMainlandChina,orabroad,andalsoinmanygovernmentdepartments.Theymaybeemployedbymerchantbanks,investmentfirms,consultingcompanies,privateandpubliccorporations,andgovernmentagencies.
Specifically,theobjectivesoftheprogrammearetoequipstudentswith:
(1)Adeepunderstandingoftheincreasinglyglobalnatureofcontemporarybusiness;
(2)In-depthknowledgeinbusinesthicsandgoodcorporategovernance;
(3)Goodinformationtechnologyskillsrequiredfortoday’sbusinessworld;and
(4)Excellentoralandwrittencommunication,bothinChineandEnglish,andinterpersonalskillsthatarenecessaryforeffectivemanagement.
Uponsuccessfulcompletionoftheprogramme,thestudentsshouldattaingoodunderstandingof
(1)financialmarketswork;
(2)capitalinvestment;
(3)valuationofcompaniesforacquisitionordisposal;
(4)financialrisksinaninternationalcontext;
(5)interpersonal,communication,prentationandcomputerskills.
3ProgrammeStructure
TheBEinFinanceisafour-yearfull-timedegreeprogramme.Inadditiontothesubjectsofthemaindiscipline,studentsarerequiredtotakesupporting,interdisciplinary,generaleducationsubjectsandthewholepersoneducationexperientiallearningmodulesoftheirownchoice.Inthefinalyearofthestudy,studentshavetotakeindividualfinalyearprojects,inwhichtheycangainin-depthknowledge,basicrearchtechniques,andtraininginwritingthesis.
